More strawberries and marigold, a wonderful companion plant, were planted at the Wycliffe Fruit Aisle. The cover with cardboard and soil is also working very well to protect the space from weeds!

Sunflowers at Daily Bread Space
We had another harvest of courgettes, chards and herbs at the Daily Bread Space. The tomatoes are growing and sunflowers are blossoming.
First harvest at the Daily Bread Space
The Daily Bread Space is lush and the plants are growing wonderfully! We had a first harvest of chard and herbs we put in a basket for free… and the courgettes will be ready soon. Hopefully we will have a basket with the harvest every Saturday during summer 🙂

Strawberries, strawberries, strawberries…
We went to do some weeding at the George IV Street Space and discovered the strawbery plants are very big and full of (still green) strawberries. What a nice surprise!
Daily Bread Space creation
We had a great time creating this new wonderful Space in front of Daily Bread.

First strawberries harvest this year
Our first (tiny) crop of strawberries from the Ashley Court growing space…!
Ashley Court: strawberries, chive and gooseberries
Our space at Ashley Court…get in there quick for the strawberries! The edible chive flowers will add a dash of purple to your plate, and the gooseberries look like they’re coming up, too.
Weeding, planting and signage at Wycliffe Road Space
We had a nice sunny time taking care of the space. We removed a lot of nettles, added strawberries and rasberries and a great amount of signs. We also removed a lot of waste. Thank you everyone for this great work!
Raspberry bushes planting at George IV Street Geometric
We planted 3 raspberry bushes in the George IV Street geometric space and added signs. The strawberries survived winter and are starting to grow. This space will be really wonderful during summer! The next step will be to add more shade and dry tolerant plants over spring/summer. It can be annuals or perennials, edible plants or wildlife friendly flowers.
